Termination & Normalization
TLS 1.3 termination, authentication, and validation at the nearest regional point of presence. Payloads are normalized into a single high-efficiency internal schema.

Platform Architecture
Argon Digital decouples foundation model selection from application code. The platform operates as an authoritative, governed gateway in front of upstream model providers, so applications never establish unmonitored connections directly. Routing, policy enforcement, compliance retention, and audit evidence are centrally managed and uniformly applied.
Architecture
Requests are securely terminated, evaluated against compliance policies, and metered before upstream dispatch.
TLS 1.3 termination, authentication, and validation at the nearest regional point of presence. Payloads are normalized into a single high-efficiency internal schema.
Capability constraints, residency rules, cost ceilings, and fallback ordering are evaluated against the active workspace policy version.
Dispatched to compliant endpoints. Token counts, TTFT latency, upstream model revisions, and routing decisions are recorded as cryptographically verifiable telemetry.
Server-sent events pass through with zero intermediate buffering. Overhead is measured in milliseconds.
Failover strictly follows declared organizational policy. Requests either reach a compliant candidate or return an explicit policy response.
Per-request and per-workspace budget limits are enforced prior to upstream dispatch.
Determinism
Fallback ordering is configured in your organization's versioned policy. The gateway evaluates candidates in sequence, logs routing decisions, and surfaces trace metadata in response headers and audit exports.
Context length, modality, capability tier, and data residency are enforced before any candidate model is considered.
Remaining models are evaluated in explicit priority order. Failover is never arbitrary or unrecorded.
If no candidate model satisfies active policy, requests return routing_no_candidate rather than routing to non-compliant jurisdictions.

Policy versions are immutable. Changes are drafted, subjected to administrator review, and activated with timestamped audit records.
Governance
| Capability | Behavior | Evidence Available |
|---|---|---|
| Regional Pinning | Requests are dispatched exclusively to endpoints within the selected jurisdiction. | Per-request region header, residency attestation |
| Zero Retention | Prompt and completion content is discarded immediately upon transmission. | Retention header, configuration export |
| Model Pinning | Aliases resolve to immutable upstream releases for predictable repeatability. | Model version in response and audit record |
| Cost Ceilings | Requests exceeding cost thresholds are rejected prior to upstream transmission. | Ceiling evaluation logged with request ID |
| Role-Based Access | Granular separation between workspace owners, developers, finance, and auditors. | Role assignment log, SSO mapping |
| Retention Overrides | Extending retention requires authorized dual approvals and a DPA addendum. | Approval log, DPA addendum reference |
Observability
Token accounting is computed at edge gateway nodes and attributed to workspace, API key, environment, and corporate cost centre.
